Job Summary
This position will support the MathWorks on-line User Community, Social Media program, and Web Operations Team in China.
Responsibilities
Community Website Responsibilities
Review, approve/disapprove, and categorize member-posted content (submissions, comments, questions, tags)
Engage with members proactively or in response to support requests
Troubleshoot application issues; test new application features
Conduct end user acceptance testing
Create and post content including feature- and product-focused videos
Report on and analyze Website data
Improve and evolve site content and user experience
Collaborate with relevant MathWorks corporate Development and Community Teams
Social Media Responsibilities
Post and promote MathWorks marketing programs and contests on behalf of MathWorks on major social media sites (e.g., Sina Weibo, Youku, WeChat, etc.)
Monitor user comments and escalate as appropriate
Obtain and analyze metrics
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and evolving SEO tactics aimed at boosting website traffic and organic page rank.
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a master's degree, or a PhD degree is required.
Demonstrated experience in/with HTML
Preferred Qualifications
Engineering/science degree
Advanced communication skills in English and Simplified Chinese (both verbal and written)
Experience using Adobe/Omniture Web analytics tools preferred
Previous on-line customer service experience preferred
Knowledge of Web community in China a plus
Photoshop skills a plus
