Plan / coordinate activities typically in the context of a larger project to fulfill a customer order, or for one or two smaller customer accounts, according to financial / commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Where dedicated to one or two smaller customers, the Services Project Associate will be the focal point for all assigned customer contact including all customer requests, queries & concerns throughout contract life and after sales service. Where assigned as a support resource to a more senior Project Manager, the Services Project Associate will partner to provide effective communication to the customer.
• Work with Engineering, ITO, Field Operations and other support functions to coordinate project development, implementation and control, taking into consideration customer specifications, cost effectiveness, company technical/engineering procedures, safety, and optimum quality standards
• Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and comply with all PII and customer EHS standards and procedures
• Understand and analyze customer order specifications, and communicate requirements to the extended project teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Lead assigned project resources through a regular system of contract reviews to identify & manage risks, monitor operational performance against the agreed timescales, and instigate corrective action where appropriate
• Responsible for all financial aspects of project management including the establishment of systems to regularly review costs, invoicing and cash collection. May partner with a more senior PM.
• Ensures compliance with all corporate commercial practices and standards
• Co-ordinate internal/3rd party staff to ensure they meet their commitments.
• Respond rapidly to technical and commercial queries from customers, shop, & field service personnel
• Develop and maintain good customer relationships using solid communication skills
• Resolve problems post project closure to ensure customer satisfaction
Key Outputs:
• Achievement of project targets or better for revenue, costs, profits and cash flow.
• Continuous improvement of service quality, as measured by customer satisfaction responses and first time project successes.
• Professional execution of all contracts without significant commercial exposure to the company. Identification & management of risks associated with the project.
• Strong financial control over projects with accurate forecasting and reporting.
Requirement:
Basic
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in an engineering discipline (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience in Field Services or project management)
• Able to work within a multi-discipline, cross-functional team
• Ability to multi -task in a high pressure environment
• Ability to organize, assess, orchestrate, prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones and deliverables
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work across diverse personalities and agendas at various seniority levels across organizations to achieve goals
• Willingness and ability to travel 10% of the time
Desired
• Six Sigma training is preferred (GE employees only)
• Ability to lead and motivate others to accomplish business objectives
• Prior experience with job costing, planning, scheduling, and coordination is preferred
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
